UNDER 7 - TIMBITS LEARN TO PLAY PROGRAM
The Applewood Hockey Association Under 7 Program provides an introduction to hockey for boys and girls ages 4 to 6 years old. The goal of the Program is to learn the basic skills and fundamentals of hockey in a fun and non-competitive environment!
- The U7 season runs from the end of September to March.
- Practices are usually held on Saturday mornings at Chic Murray Arena 8:15am or 9:15am start.
- Games against other Applewood U7 teams are usually on Sunday mornings, 9:30am at Chic Murray.
- There are 2-3 coaches per team to help teach and develop the players.
- Players are matched to their skill level.
- Every player gets a jersey and socks. The program is currently sponsored by Tim Horton’s.
- Holiday/Christmas Party and an End of Year Banquet, where every player receives a trophy.
- Full hockey equipment, including neck guard is mandatory and not included with the registration fee.
- 2026-27 Season:
- Pre-season skates: Start late August
- Evaluations: Late September
- Regular Practices Start: TBA
- Game Opener: TBA
